To support our growing organisation we are currently looking for 

Senior Financial Controlling Analyst

Your main responsibilities:

Your strategic responsibilities:

  • Partnering Financial Controlling Manager Europe in change management with the aim to define the areas and possible directions and provide even stronger support in achieving company’s and team’s goals
  • Reviewing & optimizing the core business processes in financial controlling to harmonize and unify them on the European level 
  • Reviewing & implementing data driven and automated reporting to inspire others for change and release the controlling team forces to become even stronger partner for whole organization
  • Leveraging new IT solutions to keep the digitalization trends and optimize reporting tools in the Team

Your operational responsibilities:

  • European Group reporting defined as preparation and responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and 10K schedules  
  • Being involved in GATX Rail Europe financial statements consolidation 
  • Preparing and presenting the cost variance analysis vs previous year and budget
  • Presenting the results during monthly meetings with US Reporting Team
  • Preparing forecasts and budgets for European entities after alignment with business 
  • Delivering financial and economic information including performing ad hoc analyses
  • Being the partner in financial audit processes for the Accounting Team

You are a good fit if you have:

  • Knowledge and experience in controlling and accounting in an international environment, experience with US GAAP will be an asset
  • Data modeling skills including experience with analytical tools and Power BI  
  • Good knowledge of SAP (FI, CO modules)
  • Excellent English skills
  • High level of analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive approach and ability to question status quo and propose solutions
