GATX Rail Europe’s excellent railcar leasing service has led to a newly signed, multi-year collaboration with new client and logistics partner Wedler Franz Logistik GmbH & Co. KG (WFL). Located outside Berlin, Germany, WFL offers innovative, reliable services in short- and long-term railway freight operations, diverse transport, construction logistics and locomotive services.

In addition to its existing fleet, WFL rents several Rens railcars, which are all to be put to good use by DB Netz Wagenpool 22 NL Ost in the maintenance and building of new railway tracks in the eastern region of Germany. DB Netz is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn and is one of the largest railway infrastructure managers worldwide.

With its vast railway experience, WFL will contribute to this joint task by being directly responsible for the transportation of construction materials, such as gravel for the track ballast, and the construction site maintenance and logistics.

Mr. Gocht, Area Manager at WFL, shared his enthusiasm with this collaboration. “WFL thanks GATX Rail Europe for the excellent customer service,” he said. “We are very happy to partner with GATX for the railway infrastructure development in eastern Germany.”
