‘Tis the season to be helpful! Or even better, philanthropy best shines through when practiced year-round. Next to our goal of making railcar leasing easier, we also strive to make communities a better place. With GATX Rail Europe’s You Care–We Care Initiative, our 2022 charitable activities grew in full force and with a notable productivity. The initiative has brought GATX colleagues closer together, amplified our team spirit, and enabled us to connect through the causes we all care about.

Understanding this principle, our teams were delighted to participate in several essential activities including donating blood, cleaning streets, parks and forests, and hiking, biking, and participating in other sports for better daily mental health.

For every hour each of our colleagues spent giving back, GATX Rail Europe is generously donating € 25. In total, 76 employees across Europe donated 240 hours of time, yielding a € 6,000 grant for the Polska Akcja Humanitarna, a Polish NGO helping Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

Through their actions, the GATX Rail Europe team proved their willingness to go above and beyond in the name of charity, exemplifying our organization’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
