The GATX Rail France team reported two successful railcar handovers to our new customers in France and Belgium.
Paris, December 2020 – The handover of 20 new build tank railcars to Seqens and 22 tank railcars to Alcogroup successfully took place virtually in November.
Seqens is an integrated global leader in pharmaceutical synthesis and specialty ingredients. With GRE’s new built inner-coated normal steel tank railcars, Seqens can safely transport highly purified solvents for pharmaceutical and cosmetics across Europe.
Alcogroup, also a global player, is able to transport ethanol fuel with our tank railcars.
“It has been our goal to serve the French and Belgian market and we are happy to welcome two new customers to our growing GATX Rail France family,” says Johannes Friess, Business Unit Manager at GATX. Johannes added, “We are confident that this is the start of long, fruitful relationships. GRE will certainly do our part to make these relationships grow over time.”
The GRE France office serves new and longstanding customers in France, Belgium and Spain and is active in establishing new relationships in multiple industries requiring both tank and freight railcars. Our exceptionally young fleet and our commitment to deliver excellent service make us unique on the French market.
