GRE is proud of our extensive maintenance network and, of course, our in-house maintenance and new car assembly workshop in Ostroda, Poland. As we are moving ahead in the process of digitalizing work processes in our network of 40+ partner maintenance workshops, we also launched the initiative to upgrade our workshop’s ERP system. Today, we celebrate the project team… The new ERP system went live beginning of this year!
Despite the challenges 2020 presented to our workshop staff, the switch to a new ERP system went without interruption to daily work. The project team worked closely together (but apart), as this project was carried out 100% virtually, following an agile project management approach. The state-of-the-art SAP ERP system allows for feature parity. GRE’s workshop staff has cleaned obsolete data and streamlined processes that support various departments. Most importantly, with this new platform, the GRE project team has laid the groundwork to further enhance and automate workshop processes, such as mobile solutions for stock, production settlement with scanners or planning and controlling of production.
Overall, with the new system GRE managed to increase the user friendliness and is able to exercise processes better and quicker, which saves us time to #makingrailcarleasingeasier. If you are interested in our maintenance workshop network, read more here or visit our maintenance shop network.
